Big Data in 2017: The Year in Review

2017 was another exciting year in big data. Venture capital is pouring into any company that can spell “AI.” Data breaches on a massive scale are the new normal. Data-driven scientific inquiry is becoming mainstream across multiple disciplines, leading to impressive advancements. This talk will highlight some of the key developments in the big data space for 2017. We'll also try our hand at technology forecasting for 2018.
